It's a true metallurgical
bond! The magnetic pulse welding process is a cold weld
of conductive metals such as aluminum, brass, or copper- to steel,
titanium, stainless, aluminum, copper and most other
metals.
How
it works: Conductive material
moves with greater kinetic energy (velocity) than the Technaform
assembly process. When it impacts the part that it is being
assembled to, it fuses to that material creating an intermolecular
bond at the interface.

Magnetic Pulse Welding Benefits and
Advantages:
- Permanently joins
dissimilar metals
- Process is
repeatable
- Eliminates localized
annealing
- Pressure tight joints
and assemblies
- Heat-free welding
process
- Less Joint weight
(than comparable EMF joints)
- Process is
instantaneous
- No heat inherent in
the process to degrade materials
- Joint is stronger than
the weakest material
- Weight is lower
- Low power
requirements
- Cost is lower in most
cases
